IMOLA, Italy (November 19, 2017) - At this weekend’s Lamborghini World Final event in Imola, Italy, Prestige Performance and Wayne Taylor Racing clinched not only the 2017 North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Pro-Driver, Team and Dealer Championship titles for a second year in a row but also Pro-class drivers Trent Hindman and Riccardo Agostini wrapped up their dominating weekend by being crowned the overall 2017 Lamborghini World Final Champions.

Throughout the season, the Prestige Performance Race Team’s four-car effort built momentum in the Pro, Pro-Am and Amateur Categories. As a result of their hard work, the team was rewarded with a second season for the record books:

• Trent Hindman | Riccardo Agostini (Pro-Class) – 2017 North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Pro-Am Driver Champions
• Prestige Performance and Wayne Taylor Racing – 2017 North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Team Champions
• Prestige Performance – 2017 North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Dealer Champion, Lamborghini Paramus
• Overall 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Champion – Trent Hindman | Riccardo Agostini

The sixth race of the North American series kicked off the cold and snowy World Final Race Weekend. In the Pro-Class, Prestige Performance’s Riccardo Agostini placed the car on pole for Race 1, giving the driver duo the momentum needed to go on to sweep both Race 1 and 2 and thereby also clinching the North American Driver, Team and Dealer championships for Prestige Performance and Wayne Taylor Racing. Not to be outdone, success continued throughout the team’s deep stable with co-drivers Michele Beretta and IMSA stand-out Katherine Legge finishing 4th in the Pro-Class in Race 2 (car 110) with Cameron Cassels (car 157) and Sheena Monk (car 111) coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the LC-Class.

With the European Lamborghini Super Trofeo teams out in full force, the Prestige Performance crew knew the World Finals would be a hard-fought battle for the North American team. With Hindman and Agostini co-piloting the No. 101 ST and Legge and Michele Beretta, the No. 110 ST, the team focused on the Pro-Class competition.
In Race 1, Agostini started from pole position, his third for the weekend, and then Hindman, with 2 minutes to go, slipped past Mikael Grenier for the win. Legge and Beretta finished in 9th in Race 1.

Agostini Riccardo again fought hard for a fourth pole of the weekend, but had to settle for second position to start Race 2. At the end of the day, with the combined Race 1 win and a fifth-place finish in Race 2, Trent Hindman and Riccardo Agostini were crown the Overall Lamborghini World Final Champions for 2017.
