The No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R will start Sunday’s IMSA Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio from the inside of the third row after IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship qualifying Saturday afternoon at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington.

Renger van der Zande, who with co-driver Jordan Taylor is looking to score the team’s first-ever Mid-Ohio victory this weekend, clocked a fast lap of 1 minute, 12.600 seconds around the scenic 2.238-mile, 13-turn road course. It was good for fifth among the 34 car-and-driver combinations that will take the green flag for Sunday’s two-hour, 40 minute race.

“I think it was quite a maximum lap I did – there was not much more,” said van der Zande, the Dutch driving veteran who will make his first career start at Mid-Ohio. “The team set up the car during free practice really well. We made some big steps forward and I think we picked up a lot of grip on an otherwise low-grip track. So, hats off to the team. We’re best of the rest, I guess. Let’s try and get on the podium tomorrow. You never know what’s going to happen. Let’s fight for the win but a podium would be nice if you look at who’s in front of us.”

The top-five qualifiers for Sunday’s IMSA Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio are:
