Wayne Taylor - Team Owner
Three-time sports car racing champion Wayne Taylor has won the most prestigious events in all of motorsports – the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Rolex 24 At Daytona (twice), the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the inaugural Petit Le Mans. So it came as no surprise when, in 2007, his newly formed team assumed the responsibility of carrying the SunTrust Racing banner in the hotly competitive Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. Since joining the Rolex Series in 2004, with Taylor and Italian star Max Angelelli sharing the driver’s seat, SunTrust finished in the top-three in the final-season standings five times in the last six seasons. In 2010, Wayne Taylor Racing looks to win SunTrust its second championship with Taylor’s 20-year-old son Ricky joining the team as a full-time co-driver alongside Angelelli.
