Danny Formal, Trent Hindman and the Wayne Taylor Racing No. 45 DEX Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 team head to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park ready to renew their success of 2025 when they took home the team’s maiden win.

Last year, the Wayne Taylor Racing GTD team’s ability to act quickly and strategically was put on display with the decision being made to maintain track position after an early race incident sent the No. 45 to rear of the field. As the team gained track position, they took a fuel-saving gamble where they made one less pit stop than their competitors. Given that strategy, the team needed some luck with cautions on track for the closing minutes. Ultimately, two cautions fell the way their way, leading to the No. 45 GTD seeing the checkered flag first. After starting from fifth, the team’s strategic decision-making enabled Formal and Hindman to secure the program’s first win in only the second year of Wayne Taylor Racing running in GTD.

Preparations for the Wayne Taylor Racing No. 45 Lamborghini GTD team begin on Friday, July 10, with a practice session at 1:55 p.m. ET. On Saturday, July 11, the team will have a second opportunity to practice ahead of their afternoon qualifying session at 4:00 p.m. ET. The traditional two-hour, 40-minute sprint race, the Chevrolet Grand Prix, will go green at 2:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 12, with streaming available on Peacock.

Trent Hindman, 2025 CTMP GTD winner and full season co-driver, No. 45 DEX Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2: “We're returning to the racetrack of our first win together as the Wayne Taylor Racing GTD team from 2025, so there’s certainly a lot of good memories at that track. I think we learned a lot of lessons at that race - last year specifically - that we will apply now moving forward into 2026. Everybody's just been executing really well despite some of the bad luck that we've had. We know we can make a quick race car, whenever we need to, and we know we can absolutely execute a great race strategy when needed. So, I’m looking forward to having that momentum from last year going into 2026 here for the 45 team.”

It’s one of those places that has grown on me because it’s just a very, very high commitment track, and I’m excited to get there.
