The Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Super Trofeo team entered Rounds 7 and 8 of thethe LST North America at Road America ready to build on their current championship positioning. Following the Wisconsin doubleheader, the Wayne Taylor Racing team departs the weekend with two class wins, including an overall victory, and a second place.

Hampus Ericsson and Nick Persing returned to Road America eager to rebound after a challenging weekend previously at Watkins Glen International. The weekend started strong for the No. 1 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST duo as they qualified on the front row of the PRO class, taking Pole Position in Race 2. Knowing the speed of their No. 1 machine, Ericsson handled the PRO class opening stint on Friday afternoon, staying within the sights of the overall leader. Persing took control of the No. 1 after the mandatory pit stop and maintained the track position his teammate held. In the closing minutes, Persing put the pressure on for the overall lead before crossing the line in second place. For Saturday’s Race 2, Persing led the field to the green flag from his first Pole Position of 2026. Keen to grab another overall win, Persing put his head down and focused forward until he pitted to change drivers with Ericsson. At the wheel of the No. 1, Ericsson used his expertise and speed around Road America to cruise to their second overall victory of 2026. The solid collection of points keeps the No. 1 PRO team within the class championship standings.

A weekend of consistency for Al Morey IV and James Wallis as they tackled the fourth weekend of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo calendar. The pair posted two solid qualifying results to start eighth for Race 1 and sixth for Race 2. Morey IV started off Friday’s race steadily and as others in the PRO class pitted, the No. 7 team found themselves in fourth ahead of their pit stop. Wallis hopped into the No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST for his first racing laps around the 4.048-mile road course. Utilizing the overcut strategy in class, Wallis brought home a sixth-place finish. In Race 2, starting in sixth, Wallis capitalized on the experience he learned from Race 1 and managed to run within the top five in class before Morey IV retained the driver’s seat. While running in the top five, Morey IV had an incident in Turn 7, forcing the No. 7 to come to pit lane briefly. At the checkered flag, Morey IV came home in eighth place to complete their Road America weekend.

The pairing of Graham Doyle and Danny Formal in the No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST looked to continue their season-long winning streak as they took to Road America this weekend. Formal took on his qualifying duties managing a PRO|AM class pole and third overall starting position for Race 1. Formal had an impressive stint in Race 1, managing to find a large gap from the rest of their class competitors before handing over driving duties to Doyle. Doyle maintained control of the race amongst the PRO|AM competitors and ultimately took their seventh consecutive victory this season. Race 2 saw Doyle starting from the back of the grid after a difficult qualifying session, but this would not deter the seasoned LST driver from making his way forward. He managed to gain double digits of positions throughout his stint before handing the reins of the Lamborghini machinery over to Formal. Formal took over and immediately got to work on moving up through the field of competitors, but an on-track incident before their pit stop saw him facing a drive-through penalty on the heels of a yellow flag. As the race came to its closing minutes, Formal did his best to make up time on track and ultimately saw the checkered flag from fifth in class.

Paul Nemschoff and Marc Miller took on Road America behind the wheel of the No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST machinery ready to challenge at Nemschoff’s home race following a podium performance at Watkins Glen. Race 1 saw Nemschoff starting from ninth in the PRO|AM class, where he managed a clean first stint before coming into pit lane to hand driving duties over to Miller. Miller looked to move forward, but class traffic limited his opportunity to progress resulting in an eighth in class finish. For Race 2, a strong qualifying effort from Miller saw him starting from Pole Position in class. Miller had a strong stint despite the series of yellows preventing his ability to maintain a gap from the PRO|AM competitors. Miller came in just over the halfway mark for Nemschoff to get behind the wheel. A strong stint saw Nemschoff fighting for a podium position, running as high as third, but ultimately the final laps saw him come home in fourth to cap off the weekend.

Nick Persing, No. 1 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “Amazing weekend to have a P2 and a P1. That's a pretty good result and a pole position as well. My first pole position of the season, so that felt really good. Can't thank the team enough. Wayne Taylor Racing gave us an amazing car. Hampus drove amazing in that second race to help give us that win. Hopefully we can capitalize on these points and gain even more going into Indy and still fight for this championship.”

Al Morey IV, No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “Definitely a weekend to learn from more so than to celebrate. Race 1 we just didn't quite have the pace and brought home what we could. Then this second race, the race car felt really good, the team did a great job, and I just made a mistake there in Turn 7 and kind of threw it all away, unfortunately. So big apologies to the team and my teammate. We'll make sure it doesn't happen again in Indy, and we'll go see what we can do at home next month.”

James Wallis, No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “The first race yesterday was fairly strong race. Obviously, we struggled a bit for pace this weekend for qualifying, but yesterday we had some good pace. I jumped in the car, we struggled slightly with the setup issues and things, but we kind of made what we could of it. Then going into today, we were starting sixth and from there, we made it up to fourth. We were running strongly and moving forward with strong pace, the car was well run by the team this weekend, and then unfortunately, AI went off, and from there we had no results. But a step in the right direction at the end of the weekend”

Graham Doyle, No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “A fun weekend in the 10 car at Road America. While we weren’t able to keep the perfect streak alive, a win in Race 1 and a P5 after coming from last in Race 2 is something to be proud of. Can’t wait to get to Indy and push for more wins and a championship.”

Danny Formal, No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “A bittersweet weekend. P1 yesterday, seven wins. We knew we had a battle coming to today starting 34th. Graham did one of his best stints of his life, went from 34th to 20th. He had a great, great race. Obviously, when you come from the back of the grid like that, there’s going to be some contact and unfortunately, he had some contact with another competitor. So unfortunately, we got a drive-through right after a yellow flag. We fell all the way back to last. But the car was in a great window and I was able to push really, really clean track and able to get the fastest lap of the race on the second stint - which is very hard in Super Trofeo. We were running consistently about half a second to seven-tenths clear of the field. So, the guys at WTR obviously gave us a rocket ship. I am so proud of Graham's first stint. That was an awesome stint by him. And we'll come back swinging in Indy.”

Paul Nemschoff, No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “We had some highs this weekend and we had some lows. Yesterday I started, and we were back a bit further than I would have liked. The stint actually went well, and we picked up some positions, but shockingly, it was green flag beginning to end, and we really just ran out of time. Mark started P3 for Race 2, it was a good run. Unfortunately, there was a yellow right in the middle that packed everybody up. I got in the car, put in some good laps. We ended up salvaging a 4th place, which is our best Race 2 of the season. So, there's some good momentum going to Indy. In Indy we podiumed both times last year, so we're going to go after it again.

Marc Miller, No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “I was really happy with Race 2 today. Race 1 was great; the car was amazing. Unfortunately, the race went all green, and I just didn't have enough time to make up enough distance there to catch everybody, but fastest race laps in the 2nd stint. Really good pace. Today was a little different. It showed really well, like, but we had a bit of an understeer that kind of kept us from really challenging for the overall lead, but we were able to run in the lead for the beginning of the race. Another caution did not help us as we were trying to build that big gap so that Paul coul just cruise. Unfortunately, we got swallowed up by some of the PRO drivers and, but a strong effort for Paul, really good laps, and it was looking good there for a podium until a lap and a half to go.?So, we'll take 4th here. This this track I am always very, very good here and unfortunately, just the elusive podium, I struggle here for some reason, for the actual trophy and it really is starting to annoy me for the 20th year in a row. So, we'll come back next year, hopefully.”
