2025 GTP Petit Le Mans Qualifying Report

The Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing duo of V-Series.R GTPs tackled the final qualifying session of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Looking to piggyback off the team’s successful qualifying last month in Indianapolis, the Cadillac WTR team were aiming high for their MOTUL Petit Le Mans starting positions. Friday afternoon’s qualifying session saw the 12-car GTP field be separated by 1.3-seconds, one of the tightest timesheets all year.

Filipe Albuquerque in the No. 10 Cadillac WTR V-Series.R GTP and Jordan Taylor in the No. 40 Cadillac V-Series.R GTP both navigated Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in search of the quickest lap time. With a 15-minute session that will green the entire time, Albuquerque’s time of 01:10.314 was best for eighth on the grid while Taylor’s time of 01:10.649 will see him start from 11th.

Tomorrow’s MOTUL Petit Le Mans is set for 12:10 p.m. ET. Peacock will stream all 10 hours of racing while NBC will broadcast live from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Filipe Albuquerque, full season co-driver, No. 10 Cadillac WTR V-Series.R: “The car was pretty nice today to drive. We were expecting to be fighting for the top five. Unfortunately, I qualified P8, not what I wanted or expected. The field is so, so close. One-tenth would’ve put me in P4 which is a completely different perspective. We have 10 hours of racing tomorrow and the No. 10 car knows how to survive all 10 hours. The last hour for us is the critical part. We will see how it is tomorrow. I think we have a good car for the race and that is a completely different beast of a car and happy for that.”

Jordan Taylor, full season co-driver, No. 40 Cadillac WTR V-Series.R: “Not much to say. I think we have a good car for the race where we’ll be in traffic all day long. All three of our guys were happy with the car in practice so we can look forward to that.”
