2026 GTP Sebring 12 Hour Pre Race Report

Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing enters the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring ready to challenge for another win at the classic Florida endurance event. The pair of Cadillac WTR V-Series.R GTPs return to Sebring International Raceway following testing last month at the 17-turn, 3.74-mile road course as they compete in the second rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. Wayne Taylor Racing boasts two overall victories at Sebring International Raceway, with the first claimed in 2017 alongside Cadillac Racing and the most recent being in 2024.

At the wheel of the No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R GTP are full-season drivers – Jordan Taylor and Louis Delétraz – joined by Colton Herta, IMEC co-driver, Cadillac F1 Team test driver and FIA 2 Formula 2 competitor, who is fresh off his first Formula 2 race of the 2026 season in Melbourne, Australia. This trio of drivers are no strangers to victory at Sebring. Jordan Taylor has won the Twelve Hours of Sebring three times (2017, 2022, 2024), with the most recent of those victories having been alongside Delétraz and Herta, where Delétraz showed excellent race craft to secure the win during the race’s final minutes. The three drivers look to replicate their impressive 2024 feat as they take to Sebring together again this weekend.

The No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R GTP stable of drivers including Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, and Will Stevens return to the second event of the season with their sights set on success. Taylor – who shares his only victory (2017) at Sebring with his brother, Jordan – is joined by Albuquerque, a three-time podium finisher on the hunt to reach the top step. Stevens will return for his third career start at Sebring with WTR, as the British co-driver looks to bring his endurance racing expertise to the seasoned team of drivers.

“Sebring is probably one of the hardest races because the track is so tough, but that is Sebring and we all love it that way,” said Wayne Taylor, 1996 Twelve Hours of Sebring winner and Team Co-Owner. “We won there two years ago. We’ve had a test since Daytona, and we have been doing a lot of work in the simulator. Everybody is very motivated and ready to win a race. We have the pieces in place to do so. I’m really looking forward to Sebring; it’s one of my favorite events. I think that we have a good chance that we can get on the podium and we know we have a chance to win.”

The Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing GTP duo begins the weekend at Sebring International Raceway with three practice sessions on Thursday, March 19. Friday, March 20, will host the 15-minute qualifying session at 12:25 p.m. ET. The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is set for 10:10 a.m. ET with Peacock streaming all 12 hours of racing action.

No. Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R GTP Driver Quotes

Ricky Taylor, 2017 Twelve Hours of Sebring winner, full season co-driver: “It is a grueling day at Sebring, the first thing is to survive the slippery daytime conditions with a strong car to be able to fight at the end. The modern day GTP cars are so highly optimized for the tiniest of margins in car setup, but when we go to Sebring it’s a huge contrast between how finely tuned the car is to such a raw, brutal racetrack. There is certainly a lot of compromise to make sure the ride of the car is compliant enough to perform on the rough surfaces. Any track time is always valuable; we had a good test and tried some new ideas which are going to be further refined at the sim before the race weekend. I am looking forward to seeing how we can progress with the No. 10 V-Series.R.”

Filipe Albuquerque, full season co-driver: “I’m definitely looking forward to Sebring. The No. 10 car didn’t have the best start to the year in Daytona, so we are really confident about our pace and improvement on pace from last year. Sebring is a very unique, very bumpy. I think it is one of the most unique in the world to be honest. Unfortunately, Ricky and I have been unlucky there, but anything can change at any time. So, we are looking forward to Sebring and to get a podium, maybe a win.”

Will Stevens, IMEC co-driver: “It's definitely a challenge for sure as Sebring is so unique because of the challenges the circuit brings with all the bumps. I have always had great experiences at Sebring winning there twice in WEC in LMP2 so I am hoping to add the Sebring 12 hours come race day! Sebring requires quite a different set up philosophy to a lot of other tracks because of the bumps, so it's really about finding a compromise between comfort with the bumps and outright performance. The other big challenge is the race finishing in the night when conditions are very different to the daytime in the heat so that only adds to the challenge. I think we came away from the test having learnt some things for sure, obviously having the race there last year and coming back with a years' worth of knowledge definitely helps us know what we needed to work on.”

No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R GTP Driver Quotes

Jordan Taylor, three-time Twelve Hours of Sebring winner, full season co-driver: “Sebring is such a tough event to win. It is so different from Daytona. You need a car that is strong in so many different conditions. The track at Sebring evolves so much through the week and during the race itself, so you have to be able to adapt very quickly. It always comes down to a fight in the last few hours, so you have to make sure you are in a good position come sunset. The track is unlike anything else in the world. The front and back straight, Turn 1 and Turn 17, are still the runway from WWII. Apart from that, there are so many different surfaces around the track, so it makes setting up a race car very tricky. Sebring last year was our second race with the Cadillac, so we were still learning so much about the car. It was good to get back there for testing this year to get a head start on the 12-hour weekend.”

Louis Delétraz, 2024 Twelve Hours of Sebring winner, full season co-driver: “Sebring is always one of my favorite races of the year. The atmosphere there is special and the night finish makes it even more unique. Everyone has been working really hard since Daytona to analyze everything and prepare as best as possible. We tested at Sebring a few weeks ago and that was important to try a few different setup items. The great thing about testing there is that you can get quality laps with less traffic.”

Colton Herta, 2024 Twelve Hours of Sebring winner, IMEC co-driver: “I’m really happy to be heading back to Sebring. That track is so unique and unlike any other. It will be my first time in the Cadillac V-Series.R at Sebring, but I know the team found some things at their test last month to get us set for the weekend. It’s great to be back together with Jordan and Louis; we will be ready to go for another Sebring win.”
