Wayne Taylor Racing kicks off the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship at Sebring International Raceway this weekend, returning to the field with a four-car effort consisting of two PRO entries and two PRO|AM entries. Coming off an impressive 2025 season where the team secured its second World Finals Championship in addition to LSTNA PRO Drivers’, AM Drivers’, Team, and Dealership championships, the team is eager to continue building on its success with driver and team development remaining at the forefront.
Piloting the No. 1 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST in the PRO class, Hampus Ericsson and Nick Persing will make their driver pairing debut in Sebring this week. Ericsson enters his sophomore season on the LSTNA grid following a standout rookie year where he claimed the PRO Driver’s Championship and the World Finals Championship alongside teammate Danny Formal. In 2025, Ericsson reached the top step of the podium in both races at Sebring and returns looking to repeat that success. Persing heads to Sebring for his fourth LSTNA appearance and second season challenging in the PRO class. In 2025 – his first season in PRO - he secured two top six finishes at the circuit and previously earned a class victory at the 3.74-mile track during his time in PRO|AM. Persing now aims to reach the podium steps in the PRO class for the 2026 season opener.
At the wheel of the No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST are first-time teammates, Al Morey IV and James Wallis will take on the Sebring doubleheader in the PRO category. Morey IV will compete at the 17-turn road course for the fourth time in LSTNA and his second season in the PRO class. Having recorded multiple top 10 finishes at the historic circuit, Morey IV returns looking to secure a spot on the podium steps. Wallis will make his LSTNA debut this weekend, bringing experience from overseas competition in Porsche Carrera Cup. The British driver looks to continue developing his race craft in North America while targeting a podium finish in his first outing in the series.
Wayne Taylor Racing veterans, Graham Doyle and Danny Formal return to the Sebring LSTNA field for the first time as teammates in the No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST, joining the PRO|AM class. Doyle enjoyed an impressive performance at Sebring in 2025, claiming victory in both AM races. Formal has also proven strong at this track, securing wins in both 2025 and 2023. The pair enters the weekend looking to build on the momentum of their respective championship-winning 2025 seasons, where Doyle captured the AM title and Formal secured the PRO championship. Both drivers will continue their “double duty” roles within Wayne Taylor Racing, with Doyle serving as co-driver in the No. 45 Lamborghini GTD for IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup events and Formal competing full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Completing the WTR lineup for Sebring is the PRO|AM pairing of Paul Nemschoff and Marc Miller in the No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST. Nemschoff and Miller are no strangers to competing together around the challenging Sebring circuit, having secured a podium finish during their debut race as a pairing in 2023. After finishing third in the 2025 LSTNA PRO|AM championship standings, the duo looks to build on that momentum as they kick off the 2026 season at Sebring.
The Wayne Taylor Racing stable of LST drivers and teams will begin on-track preparations with practice sessions on Wednesday, March 18 followed by two qualifying sessions for the doubleheader on Thursday, March 19. The first round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship will go green at 6:10 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 19, and the second round is set for Friday, March 20 at 4:35 p.m. ET. Both races will be available to stream live on Peacock.
Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Super Trofeo Driver Quotes
Hampus Ericsson, No. 1 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “Sebring, season opener, always important to start on a high note. I’m sure Nick and I have all the factors to do so. We had a great test last week at Sebring where the team gave us an amazing car and I’m expecting nothing else for the race weekend. We’re ready, we’re hungry and we’ll do everything to bring home great results; since last year’s season opener in Sebring went very well with two wins, our goal is set high to try and match that.”
Nick Persing, No. 1 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “I’m really excited to get the season started at Sebring. The opener is always important because we are looking to set the tone for the whole championship, so starting strong is definitely the goal. Our test earlier this month went really well. The car felt amazing right away and the whole Wayne Taylor Racing group did a great job getting us comfortable, so I think we have solid pace heading into the weekend. It was also great to co-drive with Hampus for the first time. We work very well together and I’m looking forward to building on that through the race weekend. I’ve only raced at Sebring a handful of times, but even that experience helps because it’s such a unique and demanding track. Knowing what to expect with the bumps and how the track evolves should definitely help.”
Al Morey IV, No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “The opening round is extremely important. It’s where all of the off-season work is shown and everyone’s cards are on the table. Pace is shown as is race craft. I think seeing that pace and race craft, for not only yourself but also for your competitors, also is huge in understanding how your season will play out and who your competition truly is. The Sebring pre-season test was a great both in and out of the car. Getting to work with everyone and to meet all of the crew members was amazing, everyone was so welcoming. The test really gave me a sense of home within the WTR team; I am excited to work with everyone this year. These two races at Sebring will be my 8th and 9th races there. With those seven races here previously, it is really nice to be able to know how the track races. Testing and putting fast laps in is one thing, but racing and overtaking is another. So, I think having that experience here will help a lot come race day.”
James Wallis, No. 7 WTR Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO) – “Heading into this upcoming race, I am really looking forward to understanding the car and track further. Both Al and I got to grips with the car pretty nicely by the end of the two-day test. We worked cohesively together and hopefully we can be as fast on track as our pitstops were!”
Graham Doyle, No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “Sebring is always an important race to start the season because it really sets the tone for the championship. Getting off to a strong start in the LST North America Championship is crucial, and Sebring is a track that challenges every part of the team from the drivers to the engineers and the crew. The recent test was really valuable for myself as we continue to develop our car to lead us to the best results. It gave us time to work through procedures, and start understanding how we can get the most out of the car together. Sebring is also a very unique circuit with its bumps and changing conditions, so having some experience there definitely helps when it comes to managing tires, finding the right rhythm, and adapting throughout the race. I’m really looking forward to getting the season underway.”
Danny Formal, No. 10 DEX Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “Well, out two-day test at Sebring is done. I love that track and love driving a Super Trofeo around there. WTR did an incredible job in the off season. This is my first time getting a taste of the 10 car in PRO|AM. Everyone at WTR did a fantastic job. We have a couple new people on the crew and they all did incredible. I’m super excited to get going and to start the season. The weather is looking phenomenal for race week, nice and cool – way cooler than it has been in past years. I’m super excited and hopefully we can get a few wins under our stable.”
Paul Nemschoff, No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “We’re excited to get the 2026 LST season started, but with a new team. We’re oriented towards getting momentum at Sebring, but there's also 12 races to the NA championship. We're new to WTR and the test gave confidence in the team, the preparation and what to expect from the car. WTR is great at what they do and it's rewarding to be a part of it. We've raced at Sebring before and have a podium from last year. This year we're aiming for more!”
Marc Miller, No. 41 Metro Sound Pros Lamborghini Huracán ST (PRO|AM) – “You always want to start off on the right foot, no matter what. It is better to lead than have to come from behind, even though that can add excitement and a bit of drama, but we prefer to start and finish the season strong. I was unfortunately unable to participate in the test due to prior commitments. Paul was able to get a lot of time in the car and work with the new team, of which I was very thankful. Having a lot of data and a great group of fast and friendly teammates was extremely helpful and the team was extremely organized to maximize Paul's time behind the wheel. I am thankful to have several 12 Hours of Sebring, Trans Am and GT races under my belt at Sebring. It is one of my favorite circuits, full of personality and it races very well. I am looking forward to coming back!”
