Canadian Kyle Marcelli’s resume includes victories in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, SRO GT World Challenge America, IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, European Le Mans Series, and more. 26-year-old Danny Formal from San José, Costa Rica started racing at the age of five and quickly became a National Champion in Costa Rica at the Four-Cycle Endurance and Indoor Karting championship. The Costa Rican’s success grew as he progressed through the racing ranks, culminating in a successful jump to sports cars with thirteen podiums and four wins in Lamborghini Super Trofeo competition over the past two years. His 2022 efforts include a foray into the IMSA Prototype Challenge, where he finished eighth in the season opening round at Daytona International Speedway.

The second PRO category car in the stable, the No. 53 Wayne Taylor Racing LST EVO2, will be piloted by returning driver Jordan Missig and 18-year-old newcomer Aidan Yoder. The pairing of fast, young drivers will look to capitalize in the new season that sees Missig move up from the PRO | AM class where he scored two victories and five podiums last year and will mark Yoder’s first IMSA LST experience.

Veteran Ashton Harrison will return to the class in which she competed in 2020, PRO | AM, in her No. 25 Harrison Contracting Company LST EVO2 alongside her former coach, Tom Long. As a Mazda development driver, Long has experience developing the MX-5 platform that Ashton began her career racing in, and the two of them will come full circle hunting for victories together in their Lamborghini in 2022. She is slated to drive a full season of the SRO GT World Challenge America series with Racers Edge, Harrison Contracting Company and HPD in addition to contesting the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, co-driving with Long and LST teammate, Kyle Marcelli.

Kyle Marcelli, No. 1 Prestige Performance with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO)

“It’s an absolute honor to return to Prestige Performance with Wayne Taylor Racing for 2022. This organization is the cream of the crop. It’s wonderful to be involved with this group of like-minded people, all driven for success. Of course, my sincere thanks to Wayne, Travis and Prestige for their trust in me. I’m glad to have Jeff and Dave looking after our engineering and share the No. 1 Prestige Performance Lamborghini again with Danny. He and I have become great friends. We push each other to find new limits and work together to achieve the best result for the team.”

Danny Formal, No. 1 Prestige Performance with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO)

“I am super excited to be back with Wayne Taylor Racing for the 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season. Everyone at Wayne Taylor Racing and Kyle have all become like family. I’m really excited to continue working with them and hopefully for many more years. I expect Kyle and I to get going quicker this year as we know each other’s driving styles and we’re very similar on what we ask from the car and how we like it to behave. I’m expecting wins from us. We have great success at Laguna Seca in 2021, so I’m really excited to go back in the new Lamborghini EVO 2. We’re looking to challenge for many wins, the championship and the elusive World Championship win at Portugal this year. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and that Wayne Taylor Racing and Prestige Performance want me in their program. Can’t wait to start the season.”

Jordan Missig, No. 53 Prestige Performance with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO)

“I am beyond ecstatic to be making my return back to WTR for to 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Season. Last year was pretty much an introduction year into sportscar racing, this year I am looking to build of what I learned last year and use it to elevate my game to the next level as I am looking forward to moving up to the Pro class and battling with some of the top guys in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series. I’m looking forward to working with Aidan Yoder this year as I will be co driving with him, I think together we will make a great team and will be able to challenge for podiums and wins throughout the year. I want to thank everyone at Wayne Taylor Racing for allowing me to return to this family of a team. I can’t wait to get started on 2022!”

Aidan Yoder, No. 53 Prestige Performance with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO)

“I’m truly speechless, making this announcement. When we first began our negotiations, I thought it was a joke- Wayne Taylor Racing was one of those names that just sounded unfathomable. WTR is one of the most prestigious teams in North America and the world. To just have the chance to compete with an organization of this magnitude is something I’ve been dreaming about ever since I began racing. The platform Lamborghini has built for their young drivers is remarkable. I’ve always been a fan of manufacturer-spec series because it allows the teams and drivers to showcase their ingenuity in a field of identical cars. The new Super Trofeo EVO 2 looks like an absolute beast, and I can’t wait to go wheel to wheel in the heat of competition with a roaring Italian V10. Having the World Final hosted in Portimao will be something new for me as well, and I look forward to my first race overseas! I’m very excited to partner with Jordan Missig. He carries a great deal of experience in various forms of motorsport and has succeeded in multiple disciplines. I’m eager to absorb as much information from him as I can and work together to bring home some hardware. This is shaping up to be one of the most competitive Super Trofeo seasons ever, and I’m committed to keeping Wayne Taylor Racing at the front and continue their success.”

Ashton Harrison, No. 25 Harrison Contracting Company with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO|AM)

“I am so excited to be back with Wayne Taylor Racing for my fourth season of Lamborghini Super Trofeo and this year with my longtime coach Tom Long. Tom and I are on the hunt for the Pro Am championship and I believe we have a great shot. The driver development program with WTR and LST has been very big for myself and I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of our No. 25 Harrison Contracting Lamborghini and to try out the new Super Trofeo package. I’ve heard great things about the new platform. It’s going to be a busy year but worth it!”

Tom Long, No. 25 Harrison Contracting Company with Wayne Taylor Racing (PRO|AM)

“I’m thrilled to be joining Ashton Harrison and Wayne Taylor Racing this season.  With the success Ashton had last year, it’s exciting to join her as a co-driver in chasing the championship with such a premier team in WTR.  The continued support Harrison Contracting gives us has been terrific, and it’s been a fun journey working with Ashton seeing her growth and development for many years now.”

Randy Sellari, No. 3 J.G. Wentworth with Wayne Taylor Racing (AM)

"I’m looking forward to returning with WTR for 2022. It will be my third year with the team and I have high expectations based on how last season finished. After a strong showing at Laguna Seca and then again in the World Finals, I’m ready to consistently fight for podiums in the AM class. The new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 is expected to be a considerable improvement over an already thrilling car. With my regular simulator work and training, I expect a smooth transition to the new car."
